API for automation
Hello,
We need another laser for our production line (small round steel object with serial number and manufacture date). We currently scan a serial number on a temporary sticker attached to the product (which is tied to QC values from previous operations). In a labview program, it updates the text value for the serial number and sends it to the (Keyence) laser.
The labview program relies on the keyence API which allows us to programatically change parameters such as text and date through ethernet TPC/IP.
Is there a way I can communicate with the xtool controller from a computer or PLC? Is there plans for this in the future?

I know it's not an api but one thing you could do is research Macro Editors and design a workflow based on that to operate creative space to modify a text box (or whatever) to the appropriate values.
