Description of the software and firmware versions

Laserbox Basic V1.3.0:
  • Supporting the jaw chuck components of Rotary Attachment 2 (RA2)
 
xTool D1 firmware V003:
  • Supporting RA2
  • Fixed known bugs in processing with RA
  • Added the OTA firmware update function
  • Optimized the processing algorithm, improved the processing speed, and optimized the performance in high-speed vector path processing
  • Added command M2006 for modifying the baud rate
Note: Laserbox Basic V1.3.0 is a beta version and is recommended only to users who have purchased RA2. For other users, please use Laserbox Basic V1.2.0.
 

Do I need to update the software and firmware?

If you haven't purchased RA2 Pro:

You are advised not to update Laser Basic and the firmware of xTool D1.

Laserbox Basic is a beta version, which may cause some unknown problems. It is recommended that you keep using version 1.2.0, of which the functions are more stable.
 

If you have updated Laserbox Basic to V1.3.0 and xTool D1 to firmware V003, and some problems are caused, roll the versions back as follows:

  • If the problems persist after the version rollback, refer to the following FAQs:
  1. For firmware update failure
  2. For repeated update reminders
  3. For Wi-Fi disconnection
  4. If Java Script errors occur during Laserbox Basic installation, it is recommended that you fully uninstall the software and then install the software again.
  5. If the laser module shakes during processing

If you have purchased RA2 Pro:

To use Laserbox Basic to operate xTool D1 and RA2 Pro:

The motion algorithm has been modified in the latest firmware version, and therefore the time needed for processing may be longer.
  • Step 4: If you have encountered some problems, refer to the following FAQs:
  1. For firmware update failure
  2. For repeated update reminders
  3. For Wi-Fi disconnection
  4. If Java Script errors occur during Laserbox Basic installation, it is recommended that you fully uninstall the software and then install the software again.
  5. If the laser module shakes during processing

To use LightBurn to operate xTool D1 and xTool rotary attachment:

  • If you haven't updated the firmware of xTool D1 to V003, set the parameters as shown in the following figure when xTool rotary attachment.mceclip1.jpg
  • If you have updated the firmware of xTool D1 to V003, set the parameters as shown in the following figure when using xTool rotary attachment.
