Issue Description

When this issue occurs, the laser head won't go back to the home position properly. You will probably see the laser head jitters or keeps going up or down. If the machine is connected with XCS in the meantime, you may see a pop-up notification like below.

#1 Check the Lead Screw in the Laser Head

  1. Please remove the protective cover of the laser head, and check whether there is any foreign object on the lead screw.
  2. If so, please clean it up and move the laser head up and down to observe whether the laser head can move smoothly.

#2 Check the Z-Axis Limit Sensor

  1. Power on P2 and connect it to the computer with a USB cable.
  2. Open your browser and input this in the address bar and hit enter to unlock Y-axis and Z-axis motors: http://201.234.3.1:8080/cnc/cmd?cmd=M110S1&force=1
  3. Move the laser head up and down manually and observe whether the indicator of the Z-axis homing signal changes.
  4. If the indicator does not change, it means the Z-axis adapter board is faulty. Please replace the Z-axis adapter board.

#3 Check the Connection Cable of the Laser Head

Unplug and re-plug the cables as shown and check whether they are loose or broken.
