Deal with the Oil Stains and Scratches on the Baseplate
Possible Causes
- Oil stains: When the material is not fully burned during laser processing, the dust particles and the moisture in the air get mixed up and produce a tar-like substance.
-
Scratches: The baseplate of xTool M1 is an aluminum sheet with a coating of black oxide. The coating may disappear after the laser cuts through a material, exposing the aluminum. It won't affect the function of the laser and the blade.
Solutions
-
For oil stains, clean the baseplate with tissues moistened with alcohol.
-
For scratches, place a piece of tin foil on the baseplate of xTool M1.
