Line Shift in Cylindrical Processing
Issue Description
If you use the rotary attachment, and the engraved image looks cut or shifted, please refer to this article for troubleshooting.
#1 Check the Image Format
Processing vector images may involve many back-and-forth cylindrical movements, causing the object to slide if the friction is not strong enough.
Here are some ways to make the processing more stable.
-
Put rubber bands on both ends of the material.
-
Transfer the vector image into a bitmap image.
-
Try with a chuck instead of the roller.
#2 Check the Roller Set Screw
Check if the set screw of the roller is not tightened enough.
#3 Check the Jaw Chuck
Check if all the screws on the chuck are fastened properly. Check if the drive belt is loose.
